Connie Stephens

Connie Stephens has enjoyed photography for years, creating family memories.  Her interest began to grow when she purchased her first DSLR camera and began looking at photography as an art.  She loves the excitement of seeing an image through the lens of the camera and using her imagination to create a piece of art that can be shared with others.  Connie takes pictures for her own enjoyment, but also loves the challenge of creating something people will like, and expressing inspiration through flowers, nature and scenery.  She especially likes photographing scenes along historic Route 66, Mississippi River region, and the Gulf Coast, as well as colorful Southwest New Mexico.

Graduating from Hannibal LaGrange University and Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman University) in accounting and business, Connie had little background in art and photography.  She is self-taught and continuously learning through on-line classes, books, and lots of practice.  Connie’s had work juried in and exhibited at the Oakley/Lindsay Artist Showcase in Quincy, Il., Art St. Louis, and Hagerman Art Gallery at Hannibal LaGrange University.  She has also exhibited at John Wood Community College in Quincy, Il and Raintree Art Show in Clarksville, Mo.

Our country is full of beauty and for Connie, it is exciting to capture such beauty and share it with others.  She hopes you enjoy what she has created.  You can see more of her work on her website:  http://conniestephensphotos.smugmug.com

“Anyone who keeps the ability to see beauty never grows old.”
