Our April guest artist is Ken Nichols from Columbia, Missouri. Ken is an acrylic painter who twists ordinary scenes, leaving the viewer looking for the story behind them. A little sci-fi, a little surrealistic and always interesting, Ken is currently working on three themes: Fire and Trees, Portholes, and Mummy Ants Stealing Candy. Ken only started painting about 20 years ago but has made his living as a full time artist for the last five years. He feels painting is his language, something he needs to do. He is especially known for his large scale work.
An opening reception will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public.
