November Guest Artist ...Todd Damotte

Guest artist Todd Damotte grew up with a pencil in his hand. As a small child, he would draw on the Sunday church bulletin, especially during the sermons. He always knew he would go to college and intended to major in art. While in community college he accused a fellow student of being a sellout because he was studying to be a graphic designer rather that a fine art major. It wasn’t until he was at Hannibal LaGrange University that he discovered that his fine art drawing skills could actually be used in graphic designing and today he works as a graphic designer in the marketing department at that same university. While this is his day job, he continues to create art in a variety of media, currently concentrating on painting and assemblages.

For 20 years he has also made live painting a part of his ministry and has enjoyed the comments of parents who tell him that after watching him, their children have been inspired to create art of their own.

An opening reception will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public.
